Join us on our journey
with Ronda

We’re not outsiders looking in. We’re vets, nurses, and managers who’ve felt the pressure of last-minute gaps, ignored messages, and hand-drawn rotas. We knew there had to be a better way - so we built it.

It all started with Ibra

A veterinary surgeon and locum for over six years, Ibra used locuming to save money and advance his career as an orthopaedic surgeon.

But when he launched his own mobile referral business, he faced the same challenges he had experienced as a locum, this time from the other side as a manager:

  • Endless recruiter emails
  • Slow negotiations
  • Handwritten rotas
  • Mismatched expectations
One day, frustrated and trying to find the paper of shift plan, he called his partner Dimitra.
Have you seen the shift plan which took me hours to prepare?
That was the spark
Why isn’t there a better system for this?

and Ronda was born
with the mission:

To empower locum vets and nurses, and the practices that rely on them, by removing barriers, building trust, and creating a streamlined connection that ensures efficient processes and builds better relationships.

  • Ibra graduated as a veterinary surgeon in 2013 after completing his studies across five universities through competitive academic exchanges in Spain (León, Barcelona, Murcia), Slovakia, and Chile.
  • After two years of clinical experience in Spain, he moved to the UK in 2016, where he earned a Certificate in Small Animal Surgery.
  • Over the next six years, he worked as a full-time locum across the UK, using the flexibility of locuming to complete an Advanced Certificate in Small Animal Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery in 2022.
  • After three years working in referral hospitals in both the Netherlands and the UK, Ibra launched Precise VetPro in 2023, a mobile referral surgery service covering the south of England.
Running his own business gave him firsthand insight into the challenges practices face when working with locums. His experience on both sides of the locum world shaped the foundation of Ronda, ensuring the platform truly addresses the everyday frustrations faced by both locums and veterinary practices.
